It's a okay computer I thank my job and my parents for helping me out.

well its good enough for gamse that have a,ready come out, but not for the ones that are jsut GOING to come out.




get an ATi radeon 9500-9600 pro, and flash bios to the 9700 PRO. Therefore u get 9800 PRO performance, cheaply

it has 1 gig of ram and a dx9 optimised agp 8x card, it will do for games to come, even 2 years from now.
as for getting radeon 9500-9600, all new ones block that. on top of that, 9700 is to a 9800 as a ti 4600 is to a fx 5900 ultra (check the difference). if it's an older fx 5600, it is worse than ti 4600, the newer can surpass the 9800 pro in some cases.

Some people care more about image quality than FPS...

sorry, forgot to put the links to the pages too, but there it states that only the ti 4200 had lower quality images. you should check their doom 3 demo tests using the fx 5900 ultra, 3 types of radeon 9800 pros, the fx 5800 ultra, it proves that the fx 5900 is the best card out there. too bad it's 500 buck, cuz i know that you would love getting 300 fps on a game like counter strike, with 4x fsaa and 8x aniso. besides, if you have higher fps, you can turn on more image suplememting features on, without getting less than 24 fps.

just want to be clear, did the comp cost more than 3000, or only 800? if it did happen to cost more than 3000, and you put it together, you were jipped. rd ram and an fx 5600 would cost a lot, but not over 1k.
